The Day of the Cross is May 3rd and, as usual, the municipal contribution will be displayed on the Balcon de Europa. The preparation of the municipal cross is the responsibility of a different organisation each year and this time it is in the hands of the Antonio Cortes Fan Club.
All participants in the competition for best crosses will receive a subsidy of €60, or €30 in the case of crosses being produced by children.
Prizes this year are:
€500, €350 and €150 for the best crosses
€200, €100 and €75 for the best ‘arropía’ (cake)
€200, €100 and €80 offered by the Lion’s Club for the best children’s/youth crosses.
