Day of the Cross 2014 competition results
The first prize in the Day of the Cross competition went to the Fuente del Baden Women’s Association in the Barriada de los Poetas.
Day of the Cross 2014 details
Saturday May 3rd is the Day of the Cross – Dia de la Cruz – and all the details have now been finalised. The poster for the event has been prepared by José Miguel Ortuño and the municipal cross is being prepared by the Pro-Cofradía de Jesús Cautivo and the Abanico de ilusiones choir.

The registration period is now open for anyone wishing to enter either or both of the competitions relating to Dia de la Cruz – Day of the Cross – on May 3rd 2014.
Day of the Cross competition winners
The cross presented by the residents of La Maquinilla was awarded the first prize in the Day of the Cross competition. In second place was the cross in calle Pintada and in third was the cross in the Oliva passageway, also on calle Pintada.

Dia de la Cruz 2012 photos
There were some excellent crosses, as usual, in Nerja for Dia de la Cruz and plenty of tasty nibbles and drink to keep everyone happy. There was even the opportunity to see ‘churros’ being made by hand.
Sixteen crosses registered for Dia de la Cruz
There will be sixteen crosses in the municipality tomorrow for the Day of the Cross with five of them being in the village of Maro.

The Day of the Cross – Dia de la Cruz – poster this year was designed by José Miguel Ortuño and it was officially presented on Monday. The list of prizes was also finalised.
