The registration period is now open for anyone wishing to enter either or both of the competitions relating to Dia de la Cruz – Day of the Cross – on May 3rd 2014.
As usual the competitions are for Best Cross and Best Arropia (cake) and the deadline for entries is April 25th 2014. To register, simply go to the Department of Tradiciones Populares, calle Cristo 12, between 10:00 and 14:00.
Crosses which are not officially registered will not be visited by the jury and will not be eligible for the competition and will also not receive a subsidy. As usual, the Council plans to issue a map showing the location of all the participating crosses.
