The Day of the Cross – Dia de la Cruz – poster this year was designed by José Miguel Ortuño and it was officially presented on Monday. The list of prizes was also finalised.
Crosses: 1st prize €500, 2nd prize €350, 3rd prize €150. Each participant in the competition will receive a subsidy of €90.
Youth crosses (sponsored by the Lions Club): 1st prize €200, 2nd prize €100, 3rd prize €75. All participants in the competition will receive a subsidy of €50.
Best ‘Arropia’ (cake): 1st prize €200, 2nd prize €100, 3rd prize €75.
The prizes, and grants, will be awarded at 12:00 on May 11th in the Town Hall.
Only crosses officially entered in the competition will be visited by the jury and there is still time to enter, the deadline being April 27th. Entries can be registered by telephone (between 10:00 and 14:00) on 952520190 and 952526916, or by visiting the Municipal Offices in calle Cristo, number 12.
The map showing the location of all the registered crosses will be made available at the Tourist Office, the Oficina de Atención al Ciudadano and at the Nerja Cultural Centre, calle Granada 45.
