The rail link between Ronda and Algeciras is open once again after being closed on October 26th due to renovations along the section between Ronda and Cortes de la Frontera.
The second phase of works on this €176 million rail project included the alteration of fourteen tunnels to allow for the future electrification of the line. Despite the inclement weather during the winter, this phase of the works was completed within the prescribed period.
The works are still continuing along the route but will no longer disrupt passenger or freight traffic.
