A total of 35 flights have so far been cancelled at Sevilla’s San Pablo airport and at Jerez de la Frontera due to a cloud of ash from the Icelandic volcano.
Some affected airlines are arranging for passengers to domestic destinations to be transported by alternative means. A total of six Spanish airports are currently closed and passengers are being advised to call AENA, the airport authority, to check the status of flights before going to the airport.
