RENFE cancels 267 trains

RENFE, the rail network operator, has cancelled 267 high-speed, long and middle distance trains for Friday as a result of the strike called by unions in protest at the liberalisation of the sector, so if you are travelling on Friday, check that your train is actually scheduled to run.

Iberia cancels 153 flights

Iberia has cancelled 153 flights today, Monday February 20th, due to the continuing strikes by SEPLA pilots in protest at the setting up of the low-cost airline Iberia Express.

Ten flight cancellations in Andalucia

A total of ten Iberia flights have been cancelled in Andalucia today as a result of the continuing protest by SEPLA pilots against the plans to set up the low-cost airline Iberia Express. Two flights between Sevilla and Madrid, four between Jerez and Madrid, two between Málaga and Madrid and two between Granada and Madrid are affected.

Iberia has cancelled a total of 127 flights today, Monday, including four in Andalucia, as a result of the continuing industrial action by SEPLA pilots.

Ferry crossings affected by bad weather

Passenger and car ferries between Tarifa and Tangier have been temporarily suspended today, Sunday, due to heavy seas and winds up to force 6. Some ferries between Algeciras and Ceuta and Tangier have also been cancelled due to the weather.

189 flight cancellations in Spain

The continuing problems with volcanic ash from Iceland resulted in 189 flights being cancelled throughout Spain on Monday.

High-speed ferry crossings cancelled

There are no high-speed services between Ceuta and Algeciras today due to force seven winds and heavy seas. Acciona, Euroferrys, Buquebús España, Balearia and FRS have all cancelled their scheduled crossings for today.
