Sunday May 30th is Dia del Caracol (Day of the Snail) in the town of Riogordo and the Minister for Tourism, Trade and Sports of the Junta de Andalucía, Luciano Alonso, will deliver the opening speech.
The event will take place around the municipal swimming pool and at 14:00, Luciano Alonso will lay the foundation stone for the new pavilion, a project valued at €1,197,000.
Following the speeches, the Council will present the Golden Snails which this year are being awarded to the Minister of Tourism, the company Buscfonia, La opinion de Malaga and the cooks responsible for preparing the snails.
