The Planning Department of Rincón de la Victoria Council has decided not to sell a public green area next to Las Olivinas in La Cala del Moral, instead offering to build a viewpoint.
Local residents whose properties border the area had expressed an interest in purchasing the land, currently not in use, but the Council has now decided upon a €100,000 viewpoint, or mirador.
The area has magnificent views out to sea. The viewpoint will be constructed as and when municipal finances permit.
