AEMET has activated a red alert in Morena, Condado and the Valle del Guadalquivir in Jaén province, temperatures expected to reach 44 degrees.
The alert is between 12:00 and 20:00 today, Thursday.
Sevilla, Córdoba, Málaga, Granada and the rest of Jaén province remain on yellow alert with temperatures expected to reach a maximum of 38 degrees during the period 12:00 to 20:00.
