Weather, birdies, holes and stuff…

Very strange weather we’ve been having the past couple of days: sun, cloud, hot Saharan wind, gales. Never knew what it was going to do from one hour to the next. Very muggy today, though.

A whole nation is waiting with baited breath for the next, and final, prediction of Paul the ‘psychic’ octopus. Wonder which mussel he will choose this time? It makes the World Cup final a bit of an academic exercise, but then again we’ve all seen films where we know the ending yet still watch.

This is a good idea for hiding those unsightly cables.

Calle Carabeo, Nerja

Absolutely amazed at the sudden progress in calle Carabeo, the big hole now filled in. And work being carried out in the summer and through the siesta! Maybe the insertion of a stick of dynamite was threatened after months of little or no activity. They certainly seemed to have a sense of urgency this afternoon.

The brand name Kevlar on the exposed underwear band could be a clue.

So, there I was walking down calle Carabeo when I saw this guy taking a photo of a building. Being considerate, I stopped to let him finish. He kept on taking pictures. Odd, I thought, doesn’t look to be anything that photo-worthy.

Then I spotted it. A nest full of new birdies, probably not too far from flying the coop judging by the size of them.

Nest Nest

Cute….but messy, of course, if they are above you as the nests probably don’t have all mod cons.
