Quality tourism has arrived in Málaga, Michele Obama and her youngest daughter Sasha arriving at Málaga airport yesterday on board a military plane.
The Obamas arrived at Málaga airport at around 10:30 where they were greeted by hordes of tv crews, photographers and journalists.
The Obamas are staying at the luxury Villa Padierna in Benhavis, voted the best hotel in Spain and 28th best in the world. Michele Obama has asked that she and her daughter be treated as normally as possible during their stay, within the limits of security considerations, of course.
The Obamas have 60 rooms at the Villa Padierna and the municipalities of Marbella, Benhavis and Estepona have spent days cleaning up the streets and installing lighting.
Security around the complex has been greatly strengthened.
The trip is Michele Obama’s first visit to Spain on her own, in the widest meaning of the word, having chosen the location based upon recommendations made by friends.
