Two brothers had to be rescued from a small island in the middle of the río Genil in Cuevas de San Marcos after their canoe overturned.
The river was fast flowing at this point and the pair were eventually rescued after a helicopter was called in and an improvised zip-line was installed between the river bank and the small island.
Neither of the canoeists were injured in the incident.
