The Local Police have taken delivery of new equipment to assist with traffic management (speedier issuing of tickets), namely PDA’s.
The police will start with 4 PDA’s but this will soon be increased to 6. Connected to a database, courtesy of an agreement with the Málaga Provincial Council, the officers will be able to hand out tickets, print them off immediately and the information will be relayed instantly to the provincial authorities, thus saving time and paper.
All sorts of information will be available to the officers on the PDA’s. Presumably these new toys will be tested ‘with vigour’.
