Museum of Arts and Traditional Costumes in Cómpeta

Cómpeta now has a Museum of Arts and Traditional Costumes, housed in the old Cultural Centre.

The old building was renovated and is now filled with items relating to the wine industry, agriculture and pottery as well as traditional local costumes, a lime kiln and blacksmith’s foundry to name but a few.

The project involved an investment of €90,088 and the aim is for the museum to become the focal point for promotional campaigns for the villages located in the foothills of the Sierras Tejada, Almijara y Alhama.

The inauguration ceremony was attended by the Mayor, José Luis Torres, and the president of the Provincial Council, Salvador Pendón
