A 50-year-old woman died on Wednesday in calle Cayetano Duréndez in Benejúzar, Alicante, after being shot in the head by her husband.
Neighbours reported the incident at 21:15 and police and Emergency Services found the woman lying on the floor in the hallway. She had been killed with a single shot to the forehead.
The husband was found slumped on the couch, also dead from gunfire. The couple, ethnic Roma, had no previous record of domestic violence.
