The president of the Málaga Provincial Government, Salvador Pendón, accompanied by the Minister of Tourism, Trade and Sport, Luciano Alonso, joined the Mayor of Salares, Ángel Fernández, and provincial Councillors Francisco Fernández España, Cristóbal Guerrero and Jesús Mora for the inauguration of two new fountains and a monument in the town.
The new monument is in avenida del Arroyo, joining the entrance to the town with the plaza de la Constitución. The works were carried out under the Planes AEPSA and financed by the Junta de Andalucia, the Provincial Council and the Public Employment Service.
The new monument in avenida del Arroyo pays homage to the traditional wineries of the town.
