Some economics analysts believe that Andalucia may begin to create employment during the second half of 2011, with the GDP experiencing a growth of 0.6%.

Overall unemployment in Andalucia currently stands at around 28%, but it does vary quite dramatically between sectors. The rate in the construction industry is over 30% and in agriculture it is above 40%.
