Christmas lights this year will be installed in Plaza Cavana, Plaza de la Ermita, Plaza de Andalucía, Plaza Cantarero, the Balcón de Europa, Plaza de Maro and in the Barriada de los Poetas as well as on roundabouts, of which there are now many, and the entrance signs to the town.
The Asociación Nerja Centra is negotiating with the various businesses in town regarding lighting in the streets, this being a contributory scheme as usual with the Council funding a percentage of the costs.
There should be extra lights this year as, in addition to those traditionally provided by the Council, there will also be ‘artistic’ elements.
