Continuing internal friction within the GIPMTM, the Torre del Mar Independence Group, has led to the expulsion of José Luis Sánchez Toré from the ruling tripartite government team in Vélez-Málaga.
There have been a number of recent clashes between José Luis Sánchez Toré and Manuel Rincón, both GIPMTM members, and the Mayor of Vélez-Málaga, Salomé Arroyo, took the decision to expel the councillor at the request of Manuel Rincón.
The most recent clash came as a result of a Council decision relating to the displaying of the Torre del Mar municipal shield and flag, Sanchez Toré labelling Rincón a ‘government puppet’.
Sanchez Toré believes his dismissal is solely for defending the rights of Torre del Mar.
