Opening one week earlier than it did last year, the Sierra Nevada ski resort in Granada province 16 kilometres of skiable pistes available on Saturday and 17.4 kilometres on Sunday.
Ten lifts were operating over the weekend, serving 22 different tracks. Extra snow has increased the snow depth to around 80 cm in most areas of the resort and looks like a lot more tracks will be open to skiers for the upcoming ‘puente’ weekend.
More snow is expected in the area in the coming days.
