The grave situation being experienced by the dairy goat farmers in the Antequera area has prompted the Unión de Pequeños Agricultores y Ganaderos (UPA) to establish a timetable of demonstrations to try and put pressure on both the government and the industry.
Actions are planned outside the factories of the two main goat milk distributors, García Baquero and Forlacteria, as well as outside the government buildings in Málaga.
The demonstrations are planned for December 2nd (Garcia Baquero) and December 9th and 11th (Forlacteria).
The goat farmers are unhappy about the price they receive for the milk and are demanding an increase, accusing the distributors of riding roughshod over the farmers due to their dominance position in the market.
