Good start at the Sierra Nevada ski resort

Around 7,000 skiers enjoyed the first day of the Puente de la Constitución at the Sierra Nevada ski resort in Granada with 54.5 kilometres of pistes available for their enjoyment, the second highest amount at this time of year in the past decade.

Cetursa are hoping, weather permitting, to have 60 kilometres of pistes open on Sunday and with extra lifts operating.

The record for the best Puente de la Constitución is 2008 when 74.7 kilomteres of pistes were open.
