Nerja Council is considering splitting the Castillo Alto industrial estate into two distinct sectors, residential and industrial, and the municipal legal services are studying the feasibility of such a move.
Splitting the estate into two distinct areas would allow for development in either or both sections independently without such development having any impact on the other section.
The Council has already met with the Neighbourhood Association (Asociación Vecinal de Castillo Alto) to discuss the idea and plans to meet with the Cooperative Administration (Sociedad Administrativa de Cooperación de Castillo Alto) to put the same idea to them.
