The National Police is warning people not to open a dodgy email purporting to come from [email protected] citing them to attend court.
The email contains a link to ‘notice-mpf.scr’ which, if clicked upon, downloads a Trojan Horse virus and infects the users’ computer. The virus originates in Brazil.
The email is also riddled with spelling mistakes, as is quite common with phishing and spam emails, which should be a give-away.
Anyone who has had their computer infected can get help on cleaning their system from the Oficina de Seguridad del Internauta OSI (www.osi.es).
