Tragedy in Denia, Alicante, on Friday when a man shot his four year old son and then committed suicide.
The incident happened at their home in avenida Miguel Hernández. Since the start of divorce proceedings, the man and his son were living in Denia and his wife had moved to Barcelona.
The bodies were found by one of the man’s sisters. She called the Emergency Services but there was nothing they could do to save either victim.
The current hypothesis is that the man was suffering from mental imbalance as a result of the divorce proceedings, but why he shot his four year old son remains a mystery.
