Málaga have been dumped out of the Copa del Rey after losing 0-3 to Sevilla in their fifth round, second leg match at La Rosaleda. Second half goals from Romaric, Perotti and Luis Fabiano did the damage.
Barcelona scraped through on the away goals rule against Athletic Bilbao after a 1-1 draw in their second leg match. Abidal put the Catalans ahead with fifteen minutes left to play but Llorente equalised soon afterwards, although to no avail.
The match between Deportivo and Córdoba went to extra time before being decided, the score having been 1-1 at the end of normal time.
In the end, a hat-trick from Adrián, one from the penalty spot, saw Deportivo progress to the next round.
