Work is now under way to double the number of underground rubbish containers at Burriana beach, some of them being large enough for use by the businesses in the area.
The project is costing €289,000 and is being financed under FEESL. Four large areas will contain 34 underground containers and this should help to prevent odours, particularly during the busy summer season.
The work is currently expected to be finished in February.
