Nerja and Frigiliana are to sign a four year cooperation agreement to conduct joint promotion at the various tourist fairs and other tourism-related events.
The agreement is due to be signed at the upcoming FITUR 2011 being held from January 19th to 23rd.
This agreement, under the slogan ‘Dos Pueblos…un destino’, is intended to be the first of a number of collaborative schemes between the two municipalities, covering cultural as well as tourist projects.
A booklet and a DVD are being produced with information provided by both municipalities.
At FITUR 2011, Nerja and Frigiliana will present a joint promotion, although Nerja will also be conducting specific promotion of such things as beaches, hiking, nature and restaurants.
Sharing the stand, which this year is reduced in size from 160 square metres to 96 square metres due to austerity measures, with Nerja and Frigiliana will be the Nerja Caves Foundation.
