The PP government spokesman in Nerja, José Miguel García, has announced that the Council has created a total of 1,700 jobs during the current legislature.
This is apparently over and above employment created by provincial and regional administrations through various schemes.
What is not clear is whether these are long term or just one month here, one month there as a result of all the small infrastructure projects.
