A sudden, heavy downpour yesterday kept firemen in Línea de la Concepción, Guadacorte and Jimena busy.
The first incident occurred at 17:00 when a man had to be rescued from his car on the A-405. The driver was trapped in one and a half metres of water. There was also flooding in houses in calles Corchado and Curva de Ramos.
In La Linea, a broken sewage pipe caused problems in calle Santa Flomina and there was flooding in calle Administrativa, avenida de los Jazmines, avenida Antonio Machado, calle Gardenias and calle Coquilla.
Normality returned at around 20:00 on Friday evening.
