The volunteers of the Protección Civil in Torrox are reportedly not very happy bunnies at the moment, complaining of constant and outrageous delays in the payment of allowances and fees for services rendered during the past year.
Reports put the unpaid amount to 100 volunteers at around €60,000 and the members of the Protección Civil are not ruling out the possibility of taking to the streets in protest. The volunteers say that they are promised settlement each week but it never appears.
