A ceramics company in Bailén which entered into bankruptcy a year ago as a result of the economic crisis and the collapse of the construction industry has once again started production.
Cerámicas Alcalá Villalta entered into bankruptcy a year ago after the demand for bricks fell by as much as 70% due to the collapse of the building trade. The company dismissed most of its 40 employees.
A year later, after gaining court approval, the company is back in business, re-employing 35 of their former staff and producing 500 tons of bricks per day.
