Police in Almeria have arrested 32 year old Rachid D on charges of crimes against the public health after the discovery of one kilo of hashish inside his body.
Rachid D arrived in Puerto de Almería from Nador in Morocco aboard the ‘Berkane’ where his nervous state and somewhat peculiar gait aroused suspicion. After a baggage inspection, the suspect was invited to submit to a voluntary radiographic examination, during which a large number of foreign bodies were detected in his digestive system.
Rachid D was detained and during the next few days in custody he expelled 1044.33 grams of hashish. He is due to appear in Court shortly.
