A man from Guipuzcoa who spent a few days in Germany and the Czech Republic is in the Intensive Care Unit of the Hospital Donostia, doctors at the hospital suspecting that he is infected with a variant of the E.coli virus.
The man returned to Spain on May 20th after a trip to Germany and the Czech republic. His condition is described as ‘serious’.
Cultures are being analysed to confirm whether or not he is infected with the same virus that has killed fourteen people in Germany so far.
