Ticket holders for the Shakira concert in Almería will receive their money back on Friday following the last minute cancellation of the concert, the only one scheduled for Andalucia, due to security concerns after the discovery of structural defects in the stage.
Ticket holders do have the option of attending the concerts at either the Estadio Vicente Calderón in Madrid on Friday or at the Estadio San Mames in Bilbao on Saturday if they so wish.
The concert was due to take place on Wednesday at the Estadio de los Juegos Mediterráneos in Almería, with 15,000 people expected to attend. However, the organisers decided to call off the event at the eleventh hour due to defects with the stage which raised security concerns.
Reimbursement is through the official ticket sales offices and begins on Friday. Attempts were made by the organisers to arrange a new date for the concert but this proved not to be possible.
