The PSOE leader and Mayor for two terms between 1999 and 2007, Francisco Muñoz, will assume control of the Council in Torrox on Saturday and attempt to rule with a minority government after the IU rejected any sort of pact.
The IU has not ruled out a pact in the future, either with the PSOE or PP, but at the moment they are not interested and prefer to be in opposition.
The other option for Muñoz was a pact with the two PIU and PSA councillors, but this idea was rejected out of hand.
