A 19 year old local resident had to be rescued on Sunday from up near the source of the Rio Chillar after falling and injuring his ankle.
The incident occurred at around 17:00 on Sunday, the youth being unable to walk after suffering a fall. Civil Protection and firemen made their way up to the injured hiker and then had to carry him down to Los Cahorras on a stretcher.
At around 22:00 the youth arrived at the Health Centre for treatment.
