The official municipal celebrations for the Noche de San Juan on June 23rd begin at 20:00 with a meal for the seniors of the community at Ayo’s on Burriana beach.
At 22:00 there is a concert on Burriana beach by the group Alalba. At midnight there is the traditional bonfire and firework display as everyone rushes to the water to cleanse their sins.
Extra beach cleaning teams have been arranged during the celebrations and there will be a large number of security officers – Local Police, Fire Brigade and Civil Protection – on duty.
Revellers are reminded not to use wood containing nails or any other sharp object on their bonfires and not to dump appliances on the beaches.
