With summer and heatwaves come fires, and seventy were registered in Galicia on Saturday, five of which are still active.
The most serious, in Boiro (A Coruña) has already destroyed around 200 hectares of land and another, in As Pontes (A Coruña), has destroyed around 73 hectares of land so far.
It is widely thought that the majority of the fires have been intentional and the regional government is calling on people to denounce arsonists.
