On Monday evening, a fire at a cattle farm on the MA-3403 two kilometres from Villanueva de la Concepción caused significant material damaged but, fortunately, no-one was injured and the cattle were moved to safety.
The fire began at 21:15 on Monday night at the farm, a complex of thirteen buildings including a house. Three units from the Málaga Fire Brigade managed to control the fire before it reached the dwelling, although the flames did reach the storage areas containing highly inflammable feeds, such as straw.
Due to the highly combustible nature of some of the materials, the Fire Brigade continued to monitor the area until Tuesday morning.
