A Moroccan fishing vessel, the ‘Mehdya’, has been intercepted and detained by the Spanish authorities for apparently fishing in the Straits of Gibraltar using illegal nets.
The boat was taken to the port of Tarifa in Cádiz province where it will remain in dock until the matter is resolved.
