Two people have been arrested in Mijas Costa in connection with the receipt, distribution and sale of counterfeit products.
The investigation started several weeks ago after police noticed an increase in sales activity by street vendors in various towns, the ‘brand’ goods on offer obviously being fake due to the low price being asked.
Police eventually located a house in Mijas Costa where there was continuous activity, street vendors coming and going constantly. In addition, there were security measures being taken at the house to control the entry and exit of individuals.
A raid on the house led to the arrest of two Senegalese nationals and the confiscation of 2,500 kilos of counterfeit goods.
