Local Nerja athletes dominated the Andalucian Athletics Championships held at the Municipal Sports Stadium at the weekend to top the medals table with 41 gongs. Unicaja Jaén were second with 24 medals.
The medal tally was made up of 13 gold, 15 silver and 13 bronze. The gold medal winners were:
- Iván López – 100 mts
- Antonio Fernández – 200 mts
- Miguel Ángel Marín – triple jump
- Raúl Marín – hammer
- Manuel Florido – discus
- María José Redaño – 800 mts
- Esther Hidalgo – 5000 mts
- Marta Casanova – pole vault
- Isabel Robles – long jump and triple jump
- Lorena Aguilar – weightlifting and discus
- Sandra Díaz – javelin.
