A shooting in Almeria has left three members of one family dead and the alleged perpetrator in hospital.
The incident took place at 21:00 on a public street in an area known as Cabeza Martino in the village of Palomares in the municipality of Cuevas del Almanzora.
It is thought that the incident was sparked by a theft complaint against the family although the police are still investigating. The three people who died were a married couple, 46 year old J.S.T and 42 year old F.C.S.F., and their 25 year old son, C.S.S.
The alleged perpetrator, who was wounded, gave himself up to police shortly after the incident as is currently in the Hospital Torrecárdenas in Almeria.
Police in Palomares are maintaining a high profile to prevent riots or reprisals by relatives of the victims against relatives of the detainee.
