Tragedy struck in the early hours of this morning at the feria ground in Villacañas, Toledo, when a carriage from one of the attractions, ‘La Tarántula’, became detached.
In the first instance, two people died and two others were critically injured, but the death toll later increased to three when one of the injured died in hospital.
The incident occurred at 04:30 when one of the carriages of ‘La Tarántula’, a swinging boat’, became detached. The three dead are believed to be young Romanian nationals who were visiting Villacañas.
