The Guardia Civil in Valencia is investigating the discovery of a body in the boot of a car found abandoned on the road near Beniarjó.
Officers at a routine checkpoint noticed a car turn away as if to avoid the control point and the officers set off to follow the vehicle. They found it abandoned on the road near Beniarjó and when they opened the boot they found a ‘package’ containing a corpse.
The occupants of the vehicle were nowhere to be found and the police have so far been unable to ascertain the identity of the corpse.
