The pilot of a cargo plane attached to INFOCA in Granada province was injured yesterday after having to make a forced landing while on the way to assist with a fire in Arenas del Rey.
The incident occurred at 10:00 near the reservoir in Bermejales. The plane is believed to have come into contact with power lines, forcing the pilot to make an emergency landing. The pilot managed to land the plane and escape before part of it caught fire.
The pilot is under observation in hospital in Granada after suffering whiplash and a broken collar bone.
