A 79 year old man was shot dead on Wednesday evening while he was sitting on a bench in the Plaza Costa del Sol in Torremolinos.
His attacker, a 70 year old man, was arrested shortly after the incident. The motive for the attack is believed to be a settling of accounts, possibly related to drug trafficking or other activities in the area.
