A total of 44 people had to be evacuated after fire broke out yesterday evening in the fifth floor of a clothing store in calle Conde de Gondomar in the centre of Córdoba.
The fire started at 18:37 in an electrical box in the store and the entire block was evacuated as a precautionary measure. Nine of those evacuated were in the building next door, owned by the Junta de Andalucia, after smoke entered the premises.
The fire was extinguished by 20:00 and there were no injuries reported.
